Helle Munk Ravnborg (Steering commitee member)

Socio-environmental planner with extensive research experience from eastern Africa, South and Central America. After completing her Ph.D., she was employed four years at the International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in Cali, Colombia, undertaking research on collective natural resource management and farmer decision making. Subsequently she has done research on relationships between poverty and natural resource management. Since 2004, she has been the coordinator of a collaborative and multidisciplinary research programme on biology, ecology and society in the context of protected area management in Nicaragua.
