Travel InformationWho pays my travel? All travel arrangements are to be paid by each of you individually. So it is the participants' own responsibility to book and pay air-tickets to and from La Paz, Cochabamba and Sta Cruz, depending on route. However, if you arrive in Cochabamba on the morning of July 28th you can join the common bus transport Cochabamba-Villa Tunari for free. Likewise you can join the common bus back to Cochabamba on August 1st for free. How do I get to Bolivia? There are two main entry points to Bolivia. The largest airport is in La Paz which is served by several international airlines (American Airlines, LAN Peru, Taca, etc.). You can also fly into Santa Cruz in the eastern lowlands. This airport is served by a few airlines from abroad, most conveniently from Sao Paulo (Brasil) for travellers arriving from Europe, but there are also flights from Europe on the Bolivian airline Aerosur. How do I get from La Paz to Villa Tunari? On week-days (monday-friday) there are three flights from La Paz to Cochabamba at 8:15, 14:30 and 20:50 (see enclosed itinerary and prices of the airline LINK) with a flying time of 35 minutes. From Cochabamba to Villa Tunari you travel over land for 163 km to Villa Tunari by bus. If you arrive in Cochabamba on the 28th July 2010 on the first morning flight (dep. La Paz at 8:15 arr at Cochabamba 8:50) there will be a common bus organized by Monica Moraes for the group. If you arrive at some other time you will have to arrange your own transport from Cochabamba to Villa Tunari. There are many buses every day, and if you are several people together you can even go by a taxi without being ruined. How do I get from Sta Cruz to Villa Tunari? This is 200 km overland. Go to the bus station and take a bus - there are several buses every day. When do I travel ?You should be in Villa Tunari no later than July 28th. Since travelling from La Paz or Santa Cruz will take you the better part of a day, you probably need to arrive in either La Paz or Santa Cruz the day before (27th) and pass the night there for early departure to Villa Tunari (via Cochabamba from La Paz) or directly over-land from Santa Cruz.
